This is the title of my journal and a diary entry from the 22nd of July 2014. I think at that point I was flirting with the idea of publishing a book at one point in my life, despite not having particularly great writing skills. I still do not. So here is the entry of my 17-year-old self, it is a little bit rewritten to spare me from the embarrassment.  My perspective on .... everything People are like books. We just see the cover, we may read the title, the name of the author, and the introduction paragraph but we cannot fully understand the story and its plot unless we list and read every page of the book. There are over seven billion people around the world, already 91 billion are dead but we would never be able to meet them again. The universe responds to us by giving us opportunities to meet a tiny fraction of people in our lifetime. I think about relationships a lot. It only makes sense that our romantic relationships are the most important ones we form in our lives. At least for me. We do not choose our family, our friends are our support system but a partner is someone we are programmed to form a unit with, someone who we are meant to have children with, and someone who is also going to be genetically imprinted in our legacy.  In my opinion, emotions are superficial, people are not just angry, people are not just sad, people are not just happy, and these chemical reactions go deeper. What I mean is that people are not just angry, anger usually masks something else, sadness, unfulfilled expectations, and other things. Anger or any other reaction is always linked to a more complex emotion, often related to the unresolved, unprocessed issues you have.
